So here we are full-tilt into that typically American season of "Holiday Shopping". Ugh. Maniacally obsessed consumers hunting for all those "fabulous" deals. I won't go near the malls and big name stores for at least a month, if then, really. I like to shop the small business, local craft fairs and online. And we do not go crazy with the credit card. We prefer simple things. I know there are a lot of people out there who believe, like me, that the Season is about peace, family, and celebrating the return of Light.
I got a haircut, which is not normally newsworthy. But, I swear to you, when I looked in the mirror the next morning, my hair looked like a Briard. I am not kidding.
Turkey leftovers are gone. Good sandwiches, a delicious turkey soup (if I do say so myself) and now I am fine without turkey until next Thanksgiving.
Now it is time to start moving everything around in the house to fit a Christmas tree somewhere. I think the house shrunk. Do you have that problem?
Hugs from Robin.

I hate my hair, I get it cut, then I really hate my hair. I get it.
Yep I do have that problem. We bought new living room furniture. Boy is it comfortable, but I do miss my ratty old chair some nights. But now we can't move the furniture around and we have that new kitten, who rearranges everything I do soooooooooo. Hmmm, I guess we'll go with the set it up in near the TV and see what happens (like I'm hopeful anything stays on it).
I'm with you on the small local, or over the internet shopping. Today SM and I are going to the "hippy smelling store" and buying Ms. Shelley's gift and then we are finished. And I didn't hide the presents from myself this year. Ha. This will be the first year in 4eva. Oma Linda (alias Chatty Cathy this morning)
We can only put the Solstice Tree where HRH dictates. She rules the roost and our lives.
House shrinkage, I totally understand ;o) I can't stop laughing about your hair! LOL! I am with you about the malls! Give me the small shops and craft fairs ;o) Big Hugs my friend ;o)
and then the house seems so big and empty when it all comes down!
You pushed one of my buttons - shopping! It seems to be some sort of unseen force that has people leaving their family and home on Thanksgiving to shop, shop, SHOP.... I try to give gifts that will mean something to the people in my life. I want to give gifts that say 'this makes me think of you' or something sweet and sentimental not "I saw this at WalMart and broke another shopper's nose, just so I could get it for you." Where is the peace and love in that? I could go on and on, but this is your blog. Happy Wednesday.
oh my hair gets all puffy and frizzy when it is humid :P I used to change it all the time and now I have no idea what to do with it.
