Tuesday has begun with a gray-white sky and misty rain that freezes as it dashes to the ground. The temperature is brisk, but there is no breeze; the day waits, quiet and still, in anticipation of the gathering storm.
There are many tasks to be done inside. I will put on favorite music and work and watch the sky for signs of snowy weather. Baking smells will rise from the kitchen and sleepy kitties will keep me company. An old dog will nudge me and ask for a lift up to the couch.
A quiet day, and yet so very satisfying. Yule is coming and I sing with happiness and Light.
Bright Blessings. Robin

it sounds wonderful! i hope we get some snow!
Sounds like cozy seasonal fun!
My favorite kind of days are spent at home with my cats & nothing on my schedule except what I want to do. Today, I have been having fun trying to get a bit of the holiday cookie doughs made & in the freezer. Then, the week before Christmas, I can have a fun day just baking them & wrapping them to deliever to friends & neighbors. I love the scent of orange zest & fresh cinnamon - it is addicting. When I finish my Christmas cards this afternoon, I will feel better for not procrastinating like I normally do.
I heard your part of the country is about to have a 'nor Easter. Having grown up near Albany, when I heard they might get 2' of snow, I stopped complaining about our rainy weather in Oregon. I hope the storm doesn't hit you hard or cause you to lose power. I will not drive when it snows out here. People do not know how to drive in snow to save their life, so I just enjoy looking at it knowing it will be gone in a couple of days. Stay safe & enjoy the rest of your day.
Sounds like a practically perfect day!
Aaaahhhh...the quiet before the storm.
I'm singing with you ;o) We had a big snow storm today ;o) Hugs ;o)
