Sleep

In a few hours we will be off to the hospital for my husband's surgery. He wanted me to thank everyone who has left such caring comments and thoughtful emails on his behalf.

We had a relaxed evening, with his favorite food, and homemade chocolate chip cookies, and a bit of whiskey.

Now for a good night's sleep, perhaps.

Sleep that knits up the ravelled sleave of care
The death of each day's life, sore labour's bath
Balm of hurt minds, great nature's second course,
Chief nourisher in life's feast.
~William Shakespeare, Macbeth

  13. I am sorry I am late! You and your hubby have been in our thoughts! I know everything will go well! The only thing that I don't understand, is that, your husband was able to eat? My mom has had this operation, and she couldn't eat for 2 days and had to drink that stuff, that cleans out the intestines, before the operation. Even for me, when I had my test, I went a day with out eating and I had to drink the same stuff. Maybe things have changed? Big Hugs you two ;o) Love ya!
