I have not been anywhere. I have not done much of anything. It's been friggin' cold. So I have not had much of anything to blog about. How's that for boring?
Just reading a lot, listening to music, cooking and baking, housework (arg!), web browsing, cat, dog and canary care. Playing "CatchPhrase" with Nick, some de-cluttering, dreaming of spring gardening, deciding to re-do my magickal herb cupboard and looking at the laundry!!
Next Tuesday, my sweet husband goes to the hospital for major surgery. This is the one where he will be in hospital for at least 10 days, then home for a 6-8 week convalescence. He has been doing relatively well over the last few weeks, still on antibiotics, still a little discomfort. He does go to work, though some days he should come home earlier than he does. We are keeping a very positive attitude that af ter this is all done and over with, things will be so much better for him. And life can get back to more normalcy! Sure would love that.
Yes, I am still griping about the change in newspaper delivery from daily to three days a week; it's been three weeks now. Obviously I have a problem with change!!
The woodstove is burning cheerfully and filling the house with warmth. My son is rearranging furniture, so I am off to rearrange things too, and vacuum underneath. (It is amazing how many cat toys we are finding!)
Bright blessings from Robin. (still looking for the %$#! camera)
Happy Cat toy finding.....like an easter egg hunt I should imagine. Please know that you and hubby are in my thoughts and well wishes.
ReplyDeleteThe weather here has been glorious until today and we had snow and wind and winter just keeps on holding on.
(((((hugs)))))) BB, Oma Linda
I am keeping my fingers crossed and both of you close in my thoughts. He will be much better post surgery! Its the getting there that's tough, but heck, he's got a wonderful healer with you and that's wonderful! Take care, keep warm! I can attest to cold. Brrrr!
ReplyDeleteHowdy Hello to You. Blogging is so fun, thanks for coming by. I am sorry to read about your husband. I like that you are keeping a good attitude. Wishing you both well.
ReplyDeleteAbout the camera. What kind are you looking for? I recently got a Nikon and I LOVE it.
Cheers and boogie boogie.
Oh Robin, I know this upcoming surgery is giving you all a great feeling of apprehension mixed with that hope. The hope is best to be concentrated upon and how lucky is your husband to have such a great wife/nurse to come home to as he recovers. I know I can't offer much from the other side of the country, but in the nice little world of blogging I can offer a lot of positive thoughts, a strong shoulder and a willing ear. Ann
ReplyDeletePositive healing thoughts are coming your sweet hubby's way! Stay positive and strong everyone! BTW - Your camera is probably buried under some cat toys!
ReplyDelete:-D
Sending good vibes out to your husband. I know what you mean about the newspaper. Reading the newspaper grounds me for the day. Our local paper is a mere shadow of it's former self. I sure hope they don't but back to 3 days a week. If I went cat toy hunting, I'm sure I could wrestle up a few ;) Mary A
ReplyDeleteI suspect the cats took your camera. When you finally get it back, it will have all these mysterious photos of people's feet on it.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean, been so cold here I haven't been able to do any Capital Walks. Wishing your husband all the healing he needs and giving you a huge hug too.
ReplyDeleteHugs and sparkles
WG
Hang in there, Robin. It's been a long long winter. Wishing and praying for the best for you and your family, especially a quick recovery for your husband!
ReplyDeleteHi Robin - your name was selected for a tea-cup. Please send me your snail mail so I can send it off to you. Hope your husband does well. Deb
ReplyDeleteRobin, you and your hubby are in my thoughts and in my mom's thoughts too! I know I have said this before, but if you have any questions, me and my mom are here for you! My mom said, did you tell Robin about the hot water and honey and I said yes ;o) We love you and are sending healing thoughts your way! Tell the cats to give back the camera!! If they don't, no more treats for them! LOL! It's very cold here today, but the sun is shining bright! Big Hugs my friend ;o)
ReplyDeleteIt's never fun with big surgeries but when one knows life will be better afterwords it's ok.
ReplyDeleteThe fire is burning here too, the night will be nasty cold so it's better to let it burn foe a long time, I love to fall asleep when it's warm but prefers to sleep when it's a bit chilly in my room :-)
Have a great day!
Christer.
Sorry to hear about your dh. Winter just makes illness that much more harder.
ReplyDeleteWOW I hadn;t realised the newspaper was going to be only published ever 3 days over there. I know here they are talking of the mail only every 3 days. GUlp.
Love Leanne
Dearest Sister...I will be holding you very close in thought and prayer and sending out healing energies to your whole family, most especially your hubby (for a quick and painless recovery)!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you are keeping busy...finding items under, behind, in, on top of, over, lol...
I suspect your camera will turn up through all of that. Let's not blame the poor kitties, please? Even when we know what little imps they can be. :)
It's cold and very damp here...gearing up for the big winter storm that is due in a while. I've a doctors appointment in the morning I may have to cancel, but I'll wait until I wake up to determine that move. Hopefully I can still go.
Thank You so much for your comforting words and support today...it means the world to me Robin. You are such a Dear and a Blessing!!!
(((Big Hugs to YOU ALL!)))
I am keeping your hubby in my thoughts and prayers for as quick and easy a recovery as possible!
ReplyDeleteI can certainly relate to the "change" thing! As much as I try to accept it and embrace it, I still hate it and avoid it like the pleague every chance I get!!!LOL!!!
Hugs,
Kim
