I am a happily married woman, mother of two grown kids, committed to many and varied endeavors, dedicated to my Wiccan path, lover of dogs and cats, gardener, crafter and, I feel, relatively sane and mature. However.....I do have a tiny obsession. Well, not an obsession so much as a, shall we say, lively interest in a celebrity. Yes, I am a fan. I think he is adorable, sexy, attractive. Frankly, he's Hot! And today is his birthday! So I must, if I may, say a sincere happy birthday greeting to my favorite movie guy.
Happy Birthday, Johnny Depp!!! You are gorgeous, and not only that, a great actor, a fine family man, and by the way, did I say, you are Hot?!!

I actually must
blame, er, give credit to my daughter Raethan for my attraction to this yummy fellow. When she was in high school she and her friends watched his movies and raved about him. I must support my daughter's interests, mustn't I?

I cannot think of a Johnny Depp movie that I don't like. He is marvelous in all of them. He is willing to cover up his handsome face and winning personality to play any role. (
Edward Scissorhands,
Ed Wood come to mind). But how amazing was he in the movie
"Chocolat"?? I even liked him in that "
Nick of Time" movie which left a little to be desired. But, of course, my dears, he himself is much to be desired.......ahem!!

I know what you mean, lol. He hits the trifecta for me- yummy greaser in Crybaby, Pirate in Pirates of the Caribbean, and '20's style in public enemies. And he's working on a film version of Dark Shadows, squeee!!
To the lady with the a shared obsession...... Cheers and here's to our Johnny Depp. Yummy!
I am right along with you on this one. I just love any movie this guy is in.

Oh my stars, the first time I saw Johnny Depp was in Edward Scissorhands when I was just a wee girl and I have loved that man ever since! I still find him most dreamy with scissors for hands, lmao.
He's delicious and oh-so-talented! Happy, happy birthday Mister Depp. May you continue to age as well as a fine wine. ;-)
Kindred Spirits one and all! Thank you ladies for joining me in a group love-fest for the darling Depp!!
Well I do think he´s a great actor and I agree that he´s never been bad in any part that I´ve seen him do! But that´s it :-) :-)
Have a great day!
Christer.
I'm not supposed to be on blogger right now (was just having a wee sneaky nosy on my dashboard) but when I saw this I just had to come over and comment! I'm the same as Danni there, I first saw him in Edward Scissorhands and I've been in love since too :) Isn't he not the most beautiful man in the world? His wife's not too ugly either, I can only imagine at how pretty their children must be! Anyway, well done to your daughter, she's good taste. I think my favourite of his has to be Ed Wood, but you are right - he's at his hottest in Chocolat ;) And he didn't do too bad an Irish accent either, which is really quite rare from a Hollywood actor. Anyway, great post my friend! I hope you are well and I'll get a proper catch up with your blog when I get the time. Oh, and happy birthday Mr Depp!
Hehe ... my very favorite movie of his that's rarely ever mentioned is Benny & Joon. LOVE that movie! Happy Birthday to a talented man.
Oh Robin, I am so in love with this yummy man!! I even have a picture of him, right beside me on my desk, as I type to you ;o) Chocolat is one of my favorite movies! Isn't his smile and eyes so dreamy!! HMmmmmmmmmmmmmm..As my mom would say, he can put his shoes under my bed any day!! ;o) Have a great day Robin ;o) Happy Birthday Johnny!!!
Sorry Robin, I keep coming back to your blog, to look at Johnny! LOL!
Oh girl, where do I start? Yuuuuuummmmm comes to mind. I love Johnny Depp for all the same reasons you do. He is, in my humble opinion, the finest male actor in the business today. He is unique, talented and puts the H in HOT.
I remember seeing him in an interview many years ago right after the birth of his daughter and he said with such sincerity and poise, "seeing a mother hold her child is the most beautiful thing a person can witness." I had to get a towel for all the drooling running down my chin. (Deep sigh)
