Eve of The Eve

The snow continues to fall on us, icicles are forming around the roof and the snowpiles on either side of the driveway are getting higher. Winter Wonderland!

We have been watching movies, playing with kittens and dogs and even done some decluttering and furniture rearranging. I seem to always want to make the men of the house move stuff at this time of year. To start the New Year with a different view, so to speak. The Christmas stuff comes down on New Year's Day. Usually sort of blah and blech for a couple of days after.

No big plans for New Year's Eve, as usual. It is a night for popcorn, movies, board games. Sometimes we make it to midnight, sometimes not. I know, how boring is that, right? But it's how we like it.

After a very very quiet Christmas, I am looking forward to a fresh, bright New Year. 2012 was a little rough going for our family, so I am expecting good things from 2013.

I wish the same for everyone!

Oh, how beautiful. I had hoped we got a little snow yesterday. I was planning on sitting in my chair and watching it fall. Alas, we got a dreary rain instead. Enjoy your new year.

It snowed here ALL DAY yesterday and the winter weather most definitely didn't waste any time this year!

I know what you mean about re-arranging the furniture this time of the year. I do the exact same thing for the very same reason. Great minds think alike, eh?

Have a wonderful 2013!!

Love the snow! As long as the temps stay decent, then snow some more I say!! We too have a quiet New Year's Eve. We usually go to watch the fireworks (if the weather is cold, we stay in the car, if it is warm, we venture out). I am wishing for you and yours a beautiful 2013 with no worry or bother, just peace and joy. xo

The snow looks beautiful. It's a lovely winter wonder land type of snow. We usually stay at home and watch movies and this year on New Years day we are going to the theater to see The Hobbit. Happy New Year.

You're getting lots of snow and ours melting :-) I guess we're both just as happy :-)

Have a great end of this year!

Amazing how much snow you get. I remember winters like that (from my childhood) in the SW corner of Colorado. The climate does seem to be changing...(sigh)
Know what you mean about the rearranging and de-cluttering. :0) Did some of that myself yesterday in the kitchen. And more is on tap for tomorrow!
May 2013 bring much love and laughter to your home. ♥

You have a lot of snow my friend! More than us! I am like you, I like to move things around and clean too. We are the same around here for New Year's eve. We take it easy and sometimes we make it to midnight and sometimes not. But, I have to admit, when I wake up in the night, I always go to my window and welcome the New Year ;o) I hope your 2013 is a special one, with happiness at every corner ;o)Big Hugs and many blessings Robin ;o)
