About Lexie-Girl

Somehow, the back gate came open and Lexie went exploring. We searched the neighborhood high and low until 1:30 in the morning. Then our friend Chris found Lexie. She had been hit by a car and killed.

She was a rescue that I brought home ten years ago. She would have been 12 years old in three weeks. Lexie could be silly, funny, goofy, smart, happy, sad. With a heart of gold and loyalty to each of her family members. She loved everybody.

A nightmare for us. Our Lexie, with her "lashing tail of death" and her love of stuffed toys, treats and "hunting wabbits" in the backyard. Over the Rainbow Bridge.

Our hearts are breaking.

OH my god, Robin, I am so, so sorry. What a terrible thing to happen to her, and to you as well. You've all been through so much this year, my heart is just aching in the worst way possible.

Sending you so much love right now and my heart and thoughts are with Lexie as well. May she be at peace across the Rainbow Bridge, with many a wabbit to chase and soft grass to roll around in. You guys are never far from my mind and I wish I could give you the biggest of in person hugs.

Unconditional love from the most wonderful, loving dog who always loved me....I saw her eyes open, I heard when her eyes closed. Mine are tearful and sad for this awful loss. I will always remember her greetings at your door, Robin, like none else.

Over rainbow bridge. She's smiling down with her wonderful presence. I love Lexie.

OMG Robin, I am so very sorry to hear about this! My heart goes out to you and your family. My mother lost an elderly dog a few years ago when she somehow managed to get outside the fence and wondered into the next door neighbor's creek, apparently slipped on a rock and drown. It was terrible.

Goddess bless your Lexie-girl in Rainbow Ridge!

Much love,

Kim
