We Have a Date

Official news! Attorney called us yesterday with a closing date on our property. Thursday, October 24th! Thank the Goddess! I made a solo trip out to our land just a couple of days ago. My mission was to snap some fall foliage pix. I didn't go into the woods, mainly because I was alone, it was muddy and we don't actually own the place yet. It was very pleasant though, listening to the call of unfamiliar birds, and the light breeze carried the aroma of earth, fallen leaves and clean air. (click on photos for a closer look)

Some trees are already bare and some are just now changing

One of the two deer stands--there will be no hunting on our property

View of the front of the property and a pile of wood waiting for our first bonfire
Next weekend, weather permitting, property deed in hand, we will be enjoying our place! Wish you could join us!!

I am so tickled for you and your family. How lovely it will be to be "in the woods", even on a dark, dark, night. Congrats BB Oma Linda

I hope they don't change it again.

Looks just like a place where I would like to live :-) But I have to admit that I'm not that fond of bonfires, I guess it has to do with living in a 102 year old cottage made from wood :-) :-) :-)

Have a great day!
