It is almost becoming ridiculous how much snow we have. And the sub-zero temps. That is all we can talk about.
Our kitchen window |
Snow is almost past our deck railing |
I made a library run a few days ago before this latest snowfall. I adore reading.
Visiting the Blog-o-Sphere is also a pleasant activity.
And streaming British tv shows on Netflix.
Baking and cooking, playing with kittens and thinking about summer gardens.
If you are snowed in, how do you keep from going stir crazy?
I watch the springs, the summers, the autumns;
And when comes the winter snow monotonous,
I shut all the doors and shutters
To build in the night my fairy palace.

We seem to have mislaid our winter here in Canada. Have you seen it anywhere?
I quite agree. Enough already! I much prefer to watch the snow from my living room window, not trying to drive to work in it! We have so far only had moderate snow, but LOTS OF ICE and freezing rain this winter.
I like to read, write and do some cleaning when we get bad weather. AND, of course, snuggle up with our fur babies!
Much love.

The amount of snow that has fallen in the NE is just mind-boggling!
How high is your deck railing?
Is that a piece of Dessert Rose China with the books on it?
What British shows are you watching? I need some recommendations.....
Stay warm. Stay safe!
Oh, if I was snowed in like that I would probably go and start building tunnels in snow.... Snow fort would be a must. :) I love snow but I don't like the extreme cold.
Stay warm!
So you liked my *ahem* abominable pun? Yes, yes, I am snickering a little... okay, a lot.
Passing the time is a major occupation for me these days, so: Wrangling four dogs, cooking, READING, bloggy stuff, investigating things which pique my curiosity. Oh, and planning my container garden, ordering seeds, etc...
Spring will come, but not until it's ready.
Oh my, so much snow. We've been blessed here in Brooklyn. Not that much snow this year. Mainly ice. Stay warm, and if you must venture out, stay safe.

You have a winter You'll be talking about for a long time. We had one 1995, we got one yard of snow during one day :-) and just four years ago winter started in late October and continued until late April!
This year however the winter is just fine, warm and mostly snow free but there is a thin layer of it on the ground right now. Won't last for long if predictions are right because it's far too warm.
Have a great day!
Christer.
It's been cold where I am in Canada, but we don't have much snow. We have been very lucky! Keep safe my friend ;o) Have fun reading and watching and playing with the cats ;o) Big Hugs ;o)
Although we haven't had nearly as much snow as you, it has been covering the ground for seemingly forever, and it feels like the first Monday in forever that hasn't included snow. You're right--all people talk about is the weather! But sunshine, warmth and Spring are coming, so enjoy those quieter pursuits while you can!
