Time to Get Dirty

Yes, a little behind in the planting department. But correcting that is a priority over the next several days, despite dismal weather forecasts.

Here are some plants waiting to be popped into containers. Petunias, angelonia, dusty miller, diamond frost and a new plant I don't remember the name.

Look at these sad, empty containers waiting for their summer finery. Soon, my darling pots, soon!

Shocking state of my garden. Weeds doing splendidly, thank you. Though the sage is in bloom (the blue flowers you see here), and the creeping thyme is creeping nicely over the edge. I have seeds to sow, after weeds are pulled.

We planted this clematis two seasons ago. This is the first year it has bloomed, and it is spectacular. This photo does not do the flowers justice. (click for a closer look).

Here is another clematis, "Roguchi", that I absolutely love. The bell-shaped blooms are a major draw for the hummingbirds and bumblebees. This clematis has bloomed and thrived from the very beginning (3 seasons ago). And there is Lexie in the background (the tail of lashing death in full view)

I hope I will have lots of wonderful garden photos over the next few weeks. Magickal herb plantings are on my mind, too.

Happy Wednesday!

fantastic happenings in your garden! My garden is in desperate need of sun but the rumor is that we shall have some in the next few days. Looking forward to seeing more pics!

I'm so devastated over my window garden. It is just about gone. My basil is coming up nicely, but the rest disappeared. One morning I went out to work and the sweet peas ware budding nicely. When I came home it was like they were never there.

Upon closer look, I noticed wee little bugs in the pot. Now, my window opens to a concrete courtyard where there are no plants for bugs to survive in. What I am thinking is that they must have been included in the dirt that came with the planter and water brought them alive. Nonetheless, it is time to regroup and think of another way. I refuse to give up.

Beautiful! Of course you're going to have to try harder if you want your weeds to be taller than mine. Happy Gardening.

I have lots to replant soon. I wanted to start already today but realized I didn't have soil enough :-)

But I have done some weeding and replanting elsewhere in the garden today and visited a spectacular garden not far away.

Have a great day!
Christer.

Oooohhhh! Your clematis are gorgeous! And I love the "Roguchi" one - I'm going to look for one of those.
You have such a good eye for putting a container together. You ought to do a post for those of us who are container impaired.

You know, I've had nothing but black thumb when it comes to container planting. But it makes me smile so hard to see that someone has a knack for it! Beautiful gardens, Robin. I can't wait to see more. :)

So you have lots of plants to get to know--enjoy! Oh, and loving the clematis & the trellis you've used! We grew them up the grape arbor posts and loved them!

These flowers of yours are beautiful!

I just love flowers, for I feel they represent the softer side of life.

I've softened my heart and mind towards others, plus I've made this body I'm temporarily residing in, more flexible, in which I feel has benefited me to a great extent.

Thank you for allowing me to see such beautiful flowers as these!

I saw that bell shaped clematis at our garden center here, and passed because I wasn't sure about the healthiness of it, but I see yours is stunning and the fact it attracts the hummingbirds too is a big factor.
I was hoping to get a fragrant one.
does that have a fragrance?
