The newspaper tells us this morning that a "Siberian Express" weather event will hit us sometime this winter. The article goes on to say that we are most likely in for a "snowmageddon". Last winter we only received 50 inches of snow, total. The normal is about 120 inches.
This is not sitting well with me.
Of course, how often are the weather people correct, right?
Right?

I don`t mind snow, I don`t like the cold, cold temperatures we usually get on the prairies. Hopefully the weather people are incorrect and the snowmageddon misses you completely!
Oh WoW!!!! But like you said, Weathermen are seldom totally correct in their predictions. At least we can hope....
I really do wish you'd send some snow this way......
Get out the snow shovels!
Sigh...the grass is always greener (or the snow always whiter?). I'd be giddy to receive 50" in a Winter; last year we saw less than 24" for the season. Granted, 120" as a norm might mean I need a telecommuting job!
Wishing you a 'normal' Winter, minus a Siberian Express (despite how totally cool it is to say "Siberian Express"!
Yes, you are RIGHT!!! ;o)

This is one of those textbook "feast or famine" debates that happen in Junior high school. While one side of the country is drowning and baling the other side of the country is burning and withering away. Too bad we can't build a pipeline to drain one side to the other....right?????
Aw the weather. Oma Linda
uh.....Sandy? they were right on!
Robin, you are right. They are rarely correct. But just when you think they don't know what they are talking about - wham - they hit it on the nose! Hope it's not true, but I think the north east is due for some serious snow. Sounds great to us that don't have it, but I know how much work it is... Ann
First of all, the title of your posting is highly suggestive ;-) second, I believe the weather folks have a chance of being right with showers 20% today, chances of sun skies of being wrong 80% of the time.
It's so nice that they never exaggerating when they tell us what kind of weather we're to expect :-) :-) :-)
Have a great day!
Christer.
I have to admit, I do hope we get more snow then last year. It's not good if we don't! Remember how everything died in the summer from no rain? We need the moisture! I don't like driving in the snow, but I would rather have snow, than freezing rain. You will be fine Robin ;o) I will make sure you are ;o) Big Hugs ;o)
I would love a bit of snow right now. Stock up on your favorite goodies and maybe a book or two - don't forget batteries just in case. Hope you have a great weekend.
