Good News Bad News

Some good news today. My husband went back to work this morning. Hopefully, he will get caught up on things over the next few weeks before the major surgery.

Some bad news today. My son got laid off from his job yesterday.

Typical life events, yin and yang.

Like the weather....ice and snow yesterday, warmer today and 58 degrees F tomorrow. What's a groundhog to do?

Looking for silver linings.

Doors close, but windows open.

And I will keep the homefires burning.

Glad your hubby was able to return to work, but that really is a downer about your son. I remember how devastated I was when my hubby was laid off. I wish your son all the best.

Oh wow. Isn't this the truth about how life seems to go. Hope your son can turn this into an opportunity and that your husband has a good day back at work. Deep breaths, everyone. Ann

Robin! Good news, bad news indeed. Hope all goes well for your husband and that your son finds a new (better) job - soon.

Oh. Well, on the upside, your hubby is getting better, and on the downside, your son is out of a job. Let's hope the downside becomes an upside.

As we get older, I notice that I just ask for balance and stability where when I was young I wanted all kinds of excitement and change.

Both sides of the coin! Fingers crossed for both husband and son!

Happy for your hubby Robin, but so sad for your son. The sad thing is that a lot of companies are using the "economy" to just layoff people :(

Best of luck to your son for a successful job search.

How true...one door closing and another opening! Big congrats to your hubby and prayers going up for your son Robin.

As for the weather it has been crazy here too...yesterday was about 57 degrees and right now the temps have fallen and will even more before the day is through and it is snowing like crazy! It started about an hour ago, maybe a bit more and already we have about an inch or more. Then tomorrow the deep freeze hits again. I'm so glad I don't have to go out!
Blessings to you all and stay safe in this crazy weather pattern we are experiencing!!! Sending love and hugs your way...

Good to hear that Hubby is back to Normal. But so sorry to hear about your sons job! But another door shall be opening up for him. Positive thoughts!

Trying to get items made for my booth opening and have been out of the loop. So glad your hubby is feeling better and will put him in my prayer jar for the surgery. Yin and yang -- so true. My childhood friend got a great job after months of looking, only to have her husband tell her he'd been laid off, that night. Life is not for the faint-hearted. Come visit when you can.
