Home

After 9 days in the hospital my HB (hunny bunny) is home. It was a late evening discharge on Tuesday evening (communications problems between staff, doctors caused several delays) but home he came. You obviously will understand the feeling of walking into your own house, taking a long shower, and sleeping without the numerous noises and chaos that is part of the hospital experience.

Now the task is to convalesce and get strong. Right now he hopes to go back to work by the 21st of January. I, of course, will be monitoring every activity, crumb of food and proper medicating. We will know more later in the month about the upcoming surgery.

So hopefully I will be a regular presence in the blog-o-sphere again, hurray! I have missed blogging and reading all my wonderful blogging friends!! I can't believe it is already January 10th. I need to get caught up on a lot of things, both blogging and "real life". Off and running (well, driving)!  See you very soon!!

Back to work by Jan 21st after 2 (or is it 3) surgeries?!? Sounds too quick to me! I'm glad he's home though -- it's impossible to sleep in a hospital -- worst place on earth to recuperate from anything!

Good News! Watch your Hubby like a hawk! Men are notorious for saying 'they are okay' when in reality they still need to convalesce. :0)
Love your sweet robin! :0)

So happy for you that DH has escaped from the hospital & he can recover from all that "care" he tolerated. There is nothing like your own bed & sheets, no more hosptal smells, the ability to have some control again and, most of all, to be surrounded by your family. Sounds like you are prepared to be diligent about making sure he does not try to go too much too fast. Good luck in this challenging role. I so wish you all the best.

I know the feeling of coming home after being a long time at the hospital, I've never slept as good as I did then :-)

Have a great day!

Oh sweet Robin, so glad to hear from you. Being able to be home must be such relief for one and all. Now, watch HB, be good to you and take a moment to breathe. Have a cup of tea, I'm buying.....

oh Robin, so happy that HB is home. Hospitals can be so awful and uncomfortable... Hopefully he will feel better soon and keep us posted on his progress.
