AWOL

Yikes, I did not mean to be away so long from the blog. But I have been "absent without leave" for only good reasons. We are "in transition" here as my husband has started back to work. I drive him to and from and he worked 4 hours a day for two weeks, and this week he will be working 5 hours a day. It is wearing on him, and he comes home very tired and sore, but it is so good for him to be back at work. Everyone there has been celebrating his return and making him feel very welcomed again.

So my morning routine is different these days, but that's okay, except I lost track of computer time.

Yesterday, my honey and I celebrated our 29th wedding anniversary! Yep we got married on Bastille Day, lol. We usually go away for a long weekend on our anniversary, but this year we spent it quietly at home, though we took a little drive to Mexico. Yes, Mexico, NY. About 30 miles north east of here. Beautiful country side, fields of corn, cows, pretty farmland and farmhouses. It was a nice treat.

Meanwhile, my poor daughter and her husband had a flood in their apartment at two a.m. The apartment above them sprung some kind of leak and Raethan's apartment became inundated with water. I am waiting to hear today how they are managing. What a mess.

Hotter than Hades again here. Frankly, it is just as well I was unable to get a garden in this year, it would either have rotted from too much rain, or cooked to a crisp in the heat. My poor hydrangeas are wilting.

Keep cool if it is hot in your neck of the woods!!!

Best wishes to you and hubby on your anniversary. Wow, he is back to work. Amazing how powerful prayers can be. We've got the same heat here. I am so thankful I no longer have to wait for trains in those hot, crowded, and stinky subway stations. So glad to hear from you.

Happy anniversary! Sounds like a lovely drive to Mexico! :)

Its hot here too, I have had to pull some of my garden out as I cannot keep up with watering (too $$) and some plants just couldn't do it.

So glad to hear your hubby is doing better and better each and every day! Glad to see you back on the blog too!

Congratulations on the anniversary; it's not easy getting to 29 years! I hear you on the awol thing; the heat leaves me wanting to do nothing but lay around in AC. Good to see you though!

So glad to hear of your husband's successful return to work. He is smart to take it slowly and I can imagine how exhausting it must be for him. My daughter returns in about 2 weeks to work. I'm nervous, but happy for her. I hope she will take it slowly just as your husband has.

Happy Anniversary!!!! I had no idea there is a Mexico, NY! Fun!

Sorry that the heat is getting to ya. We for some reason have had a visit from spring for the past two days. We're in the 80's, rain and it get down to 60's at night. Won't last much longer but hey....I'm enjoying it while I can. Oma Linda

oh Robin, I am glad your hubby is slowly returning to work, but I know how tiring it can be to be healing and dealing with work already. You are such a trooper too.
And I can't imagine going through a flood at 2am :P

Wishing you the best!!! Sending lots of good vibes.
