Yep, I Admit It: I Am Ready for Autumn

97 degrees F on Friday, after several days of high 90's. Unusual for our area. Then last night, severe thunderstorm warnings, high winds, lightning, downpours leading to the dreaded Power Outage. PB&Js for dinner and an early bedtime in the stuffy house. (power came back on just after midnight thankfully)

So, today I headed to my favorite bookstore, just to look around and see what there is to see. Always something there that I come home with. I found this wonderful magazine.

Autumn Cottage website

Beautiful!! And makes me dream of those glorious autumn days; just around the corner. Oh yes, I know I am big on encouraging the "live in the NOW", "enjoy each day of each season" and blar, blar, blar. But even I, a dedicated Wiccan and practicing Good Witch, has weak moments.

So, Autumn, I am waiting for you!

Autumn's my favourite time of year too. I think that's often the case with pagans.

I hear ya, sister! I'm living in the moment and sweating like a stuck pig too ;) Only here in the central valley of California, autumn doesn't come until Halloween! Mary A

Even though it's after 9:30pm I think I'll have to make a trip to King Soopers or Safeway to see if they if this magazine that has photos that are a sight for sore eyes!

I spent a few minutes yesterday browsing through the magazines and eying the lovely fall colors ! I do love fall, but hoping for some not-so-humid summer before then!

My heart fairly swoons with those glorious pumpkins and autumnal colors...ahhhh!

I'm sick of the humidity and heat too Robin...yesterday the humidity had left the air but now they are predicting more of the same for Monday...I could use some cooler days too! I can't even imagine being without A.C. even for a few hours...yuck! Especially since the heat makes me soooo sick. Good to know yours came back on relatively quickly...Goddess Bless!

This morning is gorgeous and my plants are breathing a sigh of relief and so am I,lol. Stay cool Dear Heart and happy reading in your luscious magazine...I love ya Sister! :)

I have to say, our neighbors to the south of us have the best magazines EVER! We never see anything like that here. Bummer!

As soon as June visits, I start thinking ahead to autumn....and as Debra said, I too am pretty sure all pagans think this way....

Oh I am so with you. I am an autumnal devotee. It is my favorite time, smell, taste and feeling of the year. It makes me weak in the knees thinking of pumpkins and crunchy leaves. Firelight and frightening visages.
See there, you have company...we're in the moment...thinking about our fall love. tee hee
love ya BB, Oma Linda

hmmm I so wish I had a green thumb. Gardening takes a type of dedication I apparently do not have :)

Too early for autumn yet, it feels like summer just started here :-) But we haven't had those temperatures that You've had. I guess that if we ever reached those I too would long for autumn :-)

Have a great day!
Christer.

When my thermometer hit 99 with a heat index of 102, I was ready for Autumn. Pumpkins and scare crows! Leaves changing colors and fall festivals! It truly is my most favorite time of the year!

Well it sure felt like Autumn here this morning...46 degrees...although it quickly climbed to a balmy 75! Fall is one of my favorite seasons too. xo

I am totally with you Robin. Autumn is my favorite season! I can't wait for some cool crisp air.
It has been a very hot, muggy summer as my electric bill can attest.

I love that magazine Autumn Cottage. Such a beautiful magazine but it only comes out seasonally.
