Briefly and Belatedly

Blessed Yule!! I am missing it by a day, but better late than never, I always say, belatedly!!

My husband endured a difficult six and a half hour surgery, but is doing okay. We want to get him through these next few days without incident, and then I think he will be "home free". Continued positive thoughts and prayers sent his way would be gratefully received.

Obviously our holiday celebration is on hold. I am sad to say little to no decorating or baking has occurred. We will just delay until things are better.

Sending warm wishes to all. Be safe.

So sorry to hear that your husband has been through another difficult surgery. I am guessing that there was a change in his condition that caused the surgery to be moved up to before Christmas. His recovery from this long ordeal trumps everything else, including holidays.
Hopefully, your husband will do well and have an uneventful recovery since he is under the care of a good surgeon. I feel so badly for you all. This has been such a stressful year with all the medical complications. I will keep your husband & your family in my thoughts. Family is far more important than decorating a tree or making cookies. One's health is everything. Hopefully, this is the last hospitalization & surgery for a long time. On the positive side, now that the surgery is over, the recovery can begin.
I hope the New Year brings your family good health, strong hearts & that you will be able to put all the difficulties of this year behind you in 2014. Please let us know how your husband is doing. Don't overlook taking care of yourself during this stressful time.
