Merry Meet and Merry Part, and Merry Meet again

Ruminations

After two gorgeous, sunny high 60's days, we are back to the chilly gray drizzly ones. But it's November so what can one expect?

The leaves are all off the trees and have turned into dried brown skittering-along-the-street things. All day long yesterday the streets were in constant motion with hundreds of dried-up leaves dashing off to parts unknown. It was an interesting sound.

So much going on in the news these last few days, and on the blogs. I am disgusted at the Petraeus situation, concerned and shocked about the lack of progress being made in NY and NJ with post-Hurricane Sandy problems. I like to keep abreast of current events, but it is difficult at times, to not become obsessed with certain situations.

Unfortunately, some of the blogs I have been following are suffering from negative situations; death, both people and beloved pets, jobs lost, ill-health and other life upsets.  One leaves sympathetic comments, but that never seems enough. Makes you feel helpless.

I realize that Mercury is in retrograde and these circumstances crop up a lot more during this time. We just must redouble our efforts to send out as much positive energy as possible.

On the homefront, my husband is away on business for a week, my brother has medical tests and appointments, and the kittens are having their spay/neuter surgeries this week. The good news is Thanksgiving is just around the corner and my daughter and her husband will be able to join us this year to observe the feast with us. Now that makes me smile!!

Sending out good wishes for calm, non-eventful days!

We've a gray, drizzly day here as well. Hard to believe the little fur babies are ready for their spay/neuter surgeries already. How quickly time flies.

It is worrisome isn't it? Whenever i think of how difficult it is right now , I remind myself of other times in history and how we do survive and move forward.
World wars, Holocaust, 9/11, Katrina and so many more..This human race is resilient and cruel and glorious and selfish and divine....

Love and Fear..It all derives from these.
Have a good week Mercury or not...

Calm, uneventful days sounds nice, doesn't it. You have a busy week ahead of you nevertheless. So glad your daughter and hubby will be able to join you for Thanksgiving. It will be extra special! Ann

Sounds like a time of breaking down has been occurring for many. I do wish a time of balance and building up for those who are suffering to come sooner than later.

I echo the thought for calm, non eventful days!! Our leaves have been squashed by a furious storm over the weekend that left us with about a foot of snow. No more interesting sounds!

Yep it is kinda retrograde isn't it????
I hope you don't mind, I used one of your pictures of Pixie and Pyewacket on my blog. I saw three kittens yesterday that were so much like them. So sweet and dear. Tiny little voices and sweet faces. And saw the cat I have longed for for so many years and under the circumstances must pass on right now.
Have a super week, thanks for your sympathetic comments on our dear Odin. Much love and light, Oma LInda

I'm sending you warm and gentle hugs topped off with a big ole helping of laughter!

Do you have any sweetgrass? It always lifts my spirits; just pick up a braid and take a whiff of the essence of the summer and Earth...

What tastiness will you be making for Thanksgiving at your house?

Oh, life. Ups and downs. Good and bad. The blogosphere reflects that too, doesn't it?

I don't know why everything seems so out of whack. Politics have really been upsetting me lately, because people who are close, such as friends and family members have been fighting over it... Sometimes I tell myself that it is nature, wise, changing things around. "What a caterpillar call end of the world, the master calls butterfly" Richard Bach- always helped me when things were out of focus.
Enjoy your daughter and son-in-law.

We would not appreciate the light so much if we did not have the dark. Thank you ever so much for the positive thoughts and energies. ♥
Life does move on and so must we.
So happy to hear that you will have a full house this Thanksgiving! A time that should be spent with family and enjoying each others company! :0)
