Ugh, Ick and Yuck

In my last post, I mentioned I was trying a wassail recipe. Ugh, ick and yuck is all I have to say about it. The recipe was poorly written, amounts were off, directions were incomplete...etc. Terrible concoction! Will not be sharing that recipe.

Apparently the Weather People have decided to hype us up into a frenzy with a Snow Event starting tomorrow and going through Thursday night. So naturally, my first thought is that I have to get to the library and stock up on some good reads. So I did. Pronto. And then I did the dutiful thing to stop by the grocery store for milk and dog food and more kitty treats. (can NOT run out of kitty treats!)

Came downstairs this morning, and there were various Yule ornaments scattered around the living room. Looks like a couple of felines had fun during the night. This is why I decorated only with non-breakable things. Gotta love those grinchy kittens.

Enjoy the December days as best you can if you are in wintry weather areas.

Must fly.  Robin.

LOL! Yeah, I can definitely get THAT! We have one cat that likes to chew on the artificial branches on the tree and one that enjoys jumping up at the pretty, shiney dangly things!

Stay warm my sister!

We have a rain and wind event on the way. I'll be staying home tomorrow. Have lots of things to read. Smart move with unbreakable ornaments. I made the mistake of putting catnip stockings under my tree one year. Now that was a bad move. The tree was down and the presents torn open. What a mess. Never again.

We're not doing a tree this year... hyper puppy is hyper and I don't want to clean up tinsel-laden puppy poo. Or have to take him to the vet.

Stay warm. Stay safe. Sit by the fire, read a good book, & watch the kittens have fun! :o)

Hope you didn't get too much snow! Mom always makes sure we have canned food around, if we have a power outage! Like last year! We were out for 4 days!

Oh those crazy kitties. They make it fun, don't they?

Sorry the wassail didn't turn out. I hate when that happens. You anticipate something wonderful and then it doesn't turn out as expected. Disappointing.
