We call this chipmunk "Speed Racer" because he races up and down the fence from his little hidey hole to the safflower feeder at the other end of the yard. His cheeks are stuffed. 

 

 

 

The backyard is quite a habitat these days. Birdbaths and birdfeeders, hummingbird feeder, and a variety of  plant, shrubs, flowers.  Of course we do get plenty of these bushy-tailed rodents.  You can not say the word "squirrel" around the dogs, though. They go NUTS over squirrels.

Gwennie keeps her eagle eye on that "you know what" in the garden.





And Lexie-Girl stays cool in the shade.
