Monday Medley--Tuesday Edition

Oh, how I love Mother Nature!!! And oh, how I dislike her pollen. It is everywhere, it is a sneeze a minute!! Love the flowering trees, aren't they a beautiful testament to Spring? But pollen producers, every one! (excuse me while I blow my nose and clear my throat)

Update on The Legend of Eli Monpress by Rachel Aaron. I talked about this book in a post last week. It is a three-volume compilation book, and I have finished the first volume and am well into the second volume. Please obtain this book and read it. It has been a real pleasure reading this nicely-written fantasy. Although I will say that the first book started a bit slowly, gathering together plot lines, characters and narrative. But just read on, and the pace increases, and soon it becomes so engaging, lively, exciting. This is a world where Spirit exists in all things, both animate and inanimate, which is a belief that Wiccans hold dearly. Having conversations with the spirits of water, stones, trees, dirt, fire and interacting with these spirits is a delight. I am loving this book.

On the list of things to do this week: (1) Preparing for a Giveaway here at Wiccan Writes. Stay tuned! (2) Also, the ever-ongoing spring cleaning (do I do windows? we will see.). (3) Taking a ride out to Fey Dragon, my favorite metaphysical shop in Oswego NY. My friend Mary has laid in a bunch of new items, and is hosting Raven Grimassi and his wife this month for a couple of seminars. Raven Grimassi is a notable Wiccan author and I am excited at the prospect of meeting him. Fey Dragon is where we go for our monthly Drum Circle.

The rest of April is shaping up to be busy: Earth Day, Arbor Day, Beltane. (Let's not speak of Tax Day). My mind is racing with ideas, which is a good thing! I am finally waking up with the Spring. Tough winter and many changes in the daily life....new attitude and lots to do!!!

Hugs and blessings from Robin.

Meeting Raven Grimassi - Most Awesome!
Spring is so double-edged for those with allergies. Love the flowers and blooms and the the trees leafing out, but the pollen....will wait to clean till after the pollen has landed! And I did spy some bloom stalks beginning on my iris this morning.....

Hi, Robin! Gosh I hate those alergies that nature shares so freely, but I love her other gifts :) I have ordered all three books, and I can't wait to read them.
Take care my friend...it's a busy month :)

Hugs,
Jan

Yes, allergy season - Yay! I mean - yay spring. Nay allergies. But they are a package.

Raven Grimassi - you are so LUCKY!! Oh, to have a decent shop nearby. I may have to open one. :) *dream* I am slowly finding out whose who here - apparently the word on the street is that there are many pagans here - but not a lot of groups. It's an underground sort of thing. Which of course intrigues me to no end....

Have a great time cleaning and on your outing!!

Mother Nature has provided us with many opportunities to sniffle and blow here as well. Poor Ry is the worst right now with Mulberry and Elm. Bess hims heart.
Yay on your adventure to the "woo woo" store. And also the task at hand of windows...not. I almost feel like when I clean them that I am taking the winters protection off so I always redo the spell and replace the herbs. Makes me feel better about the cleaning.
I am so glad that your spring muchness has arrived in you. Me too. Been a hard winter my friend. Be well. Oma Linda

Allergies are such a price to pay for a lovely season. Hope you find relief soon; you're far too busy to be dealing with tissues!

Oh my, even here in the city there is enough of Mother Nature to keep my eyes watering and my nose running continuously. Today seems to be especially bad for me. It's quite windy out there, and I guess it is blowing the pollen about a bit more.

The book sounds interesting. It's lovely to find something that engages like that isn't it?
Springtime is a good time for fresh starts especially when the sun shines! :)

Sweet Robin, that trilogy sounds fascinating and I have placed it on my wish list as well as downloaded the first chapter for sample. Of course I have about 10 ahead of it bit at least I will not forget it. I know the last book you recommended was a true enjoyment.

I think it will be incredible to meet Raven Grimassi and it is so wonderful that you have such a lovely spiritual place to share with others. Have a beautiful week, my friend.

The tree pollen is killing me here too. The trees are so gorgeous and the weather is nice and mild and I can't even sit outside and enjoy it without become an asthmatic mess. I tried 2 days ago and thought I was going to cough up a pollen ball (as opposed to a hair ball). Now I sit in my chair by the window and listen to my windchimes looking at my wisteria and dogwood. Sigh.
