Tuesday....I'm Rambling

The news is beyond depressing. Should I stop watching newscasts or reading the daily paper? So much grief, hate and agony in the world. What can one person do? Burn a candle with peaceful intent. And try to live my life here in my safe (for now...) home.

Here's something pleasant. My son nicarus has been deluging me with books. He has found a couple of sources for used books and has given me a nice stack of pagan books, subjects ranging from Divine Sleep by my favorite Scott Cunningham, 2 books on crystals, gems and stones, and books on tarot, runes and herbs. My book shelf runneth over!!

On another fun note, Ponderosa Pagan is holding his first annual Ostara giveaway. I have grabbed his button and placed it over there...on top..on the side bar, see it? His blog is delightful and full of enthusiasm and glowing energy. Hop on over there, why dontcha?   http://ponderosapagan.blogspot.com/

Snow, of course is in the forecast for this week. My home is decorated for Ostara, and thoughts of Spring abound. But it will be a few more weeks before flowers start blooming. Meh.

Tuesdays are not my favorite day of the week.  But I wish all a wonderful day, and maybe some peace in your life.

Ah, my son just gave me $100 Amazon card for the books I want for my Kindle. We are so lucky to have such special sons.

I do have to agree with you about the news. I stopped reading the newspapers a long time ago, and in the morning put the news on for the weather...and basically to see what's going on in the world, but it's all so violent.

We're supposed to get from 1-3 inches of snow tomorrow. Just when Spring fever was taking hold.

Wow!! Wish I could find a good used book source with Pagan/Wiccan books and oh, I adore Cunningham! I've nabbed his button as well! Very delightful blog!

I'm somewhat happy to not have TV (no cable or anything anyway) or to get the newspaper. We'll relax in Timmys and sometimes read the ones in there, but if I don't see it posted or go look online myself, I don't read/see it. I am semi grateful for that. I am hoping to gather some donations for the Japan funds, but things have been tight.

Blah, I hope we don't get anymore snow! I am so anxious for Spring!

It is horrible what is happening in the world! Keep burning that candle! It will help ;o)

No snow here ;o) Not yet! LOL!

Have a great day!

Books ... I can't get enough of them myself! My husband just bought yet another book about Runes - he likes to study them and even made himself a rune table for doing readings(imagine an Agnostic playing with something "witchy"!) LOL!

Brightest Blessings,

Kim

Robin - how thoughtful your son is!!!! As for the news - I know. It's purposely depressing some times, because that's the stuff that sells. Sure there are horrible things happening in the world, but there are wonderful things too. I wish they would report on both so we could feel the balance a bit more. We have snow here today - I found in this a message though about what I have to do in my life, which is to let go and allow Spring to happen, so Ok Ok Ok Goddess - I get it!! Now, please - sun. flowers. green stuff!!!

I stopped listening to the news years ago other than catching bits and pieces. Someone once told me that one spark of light will attract many so keep your own energy high and full of love. Others won't be able to help absorbing it.
