Comments

Over the last few weeks, there has been a problem with leaving "Comments"  around the blog-o-sphere. I have experienced it on several blogs. And I do know of a few people having that problem when they visit my blog. This problem is fickle, though. It comes and go. I just read a post on a blog that says to "please change your settings" so comments can be left. My settings have not changed since I started this blog, and frankly, I don't know what settings to change to solve this problem, or if that IS the problem. I have checked the blogger "Help" section and have seen nothing about this. If there is someone reading this who is aware of this problem, and knows of a solution to the inability to leave "Comments", please advise. (Oh, and if you are unable to leave a comment....please email me!!)

So, off to drink coffee, watch the backyard birds, read a bit (Book 2 of George R.R. Martin's series "A Song of Ice and Fire") and then the usual Friday tasks. And, oh ye Gods, it is almost Litha!!!! (midsummer/summer solstice).

Have a super weekend.

Here is a photo of our Lexie-Girl, after a round of "Throw the Bear, Fetch the Bear"....worn out.

I agree -- the comments problem comes and goes, so I don't worry about it. If it affects a blog for a day or so, just wait and it will pass.

I've been having problems off and on, and like you, checked on Help, but nothing there that is very helpful, so I comment whenever I can. Lexie Girl sure looks like she is having a great time. Have a wonderful weekend.

Email from Jess:
I'm on of those people who have been having problems commenting on people's blogs and saw your post today about it. It started about 2 weeks ago and it's only on the blogs where they have a drop-down menu asking for the 'profile'. It's a fault with Blogger and for some reason they don't let people sign in to comment and it's so frustrating! I think it might be to do with the comments settings.

I wonder if you change the settings to a pop out box for comments it might change things? So many people are missing out on the lovely comments that they so deserve! Try clicking on 'settings', then choose 'comments' and change the option to 'pop out box'. Let me know how you get on!

I have taken Jessie's advice and changed my settings to the "pop out box" and hopefully this will work.

Robin, Lexie Girl is so cute. I had this problem two weeks ago and what I found out, through other people, was, anyone who was using Internet Explorer, was having the problem. So I downloaded Google Chrome and have not had any problems. But, now, I can put up pictures on Google Chrome. So now I have to post on Internet Explorer and comment using Google Chrome! LOL! Have a wonderful day Robin ;o)

Stacy, now that is confusing! and thanks for the compliment on our Lexie!

Hey Robin, I meant to say, I can't post pictures on Google Chrome, so I am going in between both search engines now. Yes, it is confusing, but it works ;o) LOL!

I normally have no bigger problems commenting here. But the blogger help centre is just stupid! They should have someone at blogger that actually read all questions and give answers. Now other users has to help instead.

Hope the problems get solved!
Christer.

I use Firefox and (so far) haven't had any problems with comments (please don't feel tempted fate- I am in no way tempting you and any tempting you may feel is not in any way my fault!). However if it's happening on my blog no one's told me about it. I feel like Lexie right now - think she would share the bear?

Trav, I do use Firefox, so I guess that is not the problem.

Thanks Christer, and I agree we shouldn't have to be wandering around blogs asking for help. Better support from Blogger would be nice.

Have a great weekend, sister!

It has been so frustrating; hasn't it? Don't know what, but this is my test. Lord knows how many times I've tried to leave you comments.
