Fly Away!

For two days the winds have been blowing fiercely here! Yesterday had the added factor of chilly temperatures. Trellises blowing down, lupines breaking in half, newly-planted trees hanging on for dear life. Poor little hummingbirds fighting the wind. And forget trying to keep a hat on!

Going to the Farmer's Market yesterday was not a good idea. I was hoping to take photos of all the beautiful plants, flowers, herbs, perennials and other offerings. Many of the vendors were wrapped up in blankets, the tents were flying over and everyone was dashing about trying to get out of the chilly wind. There were several displays of delphiniums, hollyhocks, foxgloves that were bending to the winds. We stayed approximately 20 minutes, grabbed two plants and jumped back in the car. Whew! Drove to directly to a coffee shop for a nice hot beverage!  Needless to say, no photos. Next week, hoping for better, quiet weather.

Have a super Friday!!

The weather here has gone back and forth from cold and windy to super hot and muggy. Strange spring. Have a wonderful weekend.

Isn´t it typical :-) It would most probably have been perfect weather if You had forgotten the camera like I did today :-) The wind is finally calm and I had planned ti bring my camera with me when I went to a market, but forgot it :-) :-) :-)

Have a great day now!

Oh, winds/storms are everywhere it seems. We had the most amazing thunder/lightning storm the other night - lightning struck the main power source. Sometimes I think Mother Nature is trying to tell us something....and sometimes I think it's just mother nature doing whatever she pleases!

We have horrible wind here generally but now there is smoke from a 60,000 acre forest fire hundreds of miles away...horrible air quality and the air cooler just brings in the smoke with it.....icky.

Grab onto something solid and don't blow away!
Hopefully the winds will give you a break soon.

Send some of that wind my way and maybe coax it into bringing along some rain. It's been nearly 100 here for the past week with 70 - 80% humidity. Ick!
