Your hydrangeas are loaded with blooms! They're gorgeous. Do you pick any of the bloom heads to dry?

Beautiful and accurate quotation!

Jeanne, I do dry these hydrangea heads...they turn a greenish color, very nice for the autumn. Next year, though I am going to add an acidic compound to the ground, and they will turn blue. I love blue hydrangeas best!

My hydrangeas are finally finished. They were a brilliant blue with a touch of purple. Gorgeous. Never thought of drying them.
OMG! Got the Fa-La-La-Felt book yesterday and have some great ideas for Xmas items for the market. Thank you for ALL of it! Have a great weekend.

Beautiful Robin!! Wow!! You are right about adding an acidic compound to the ground. They grow the best in acidic soil. I have mind panted under my evergreen trees. Hugs my friend ;o)

When I was in Scotland (I begin way too many sentences with that....), a gardener at the botanical gardens told me that you could change the color of hydrangeas by changing the acidity of the soil.
They're out of my zone here in Montana so I have never been able to test it.

Love the quote.
