Accident-Prone? Klutz? Gremlins?

Excuse my language, please, but WTF??!! It seems I am mine own worst enemy! You will recall that just a few weeks ago, I gouged myself in the eye.  Thanks to my sweet Happy Hubby (HH) you know of the mishap I suffered the other day at the Court House. My non-skid shoes worked overly well by sticking to the marble floor and causing me to fall knee first into a spectacle worthy of Calamity Jane. Painful, yes. Embarrassing, yes!

I did get excused from jury duty, which despite all the jokes at the court house, the ambulance, the emergency room and from well-meaning friends and family, was NOT my plan.

I have spent the last three days in a druggy-haze, languishing in the recliner, sometimes moaning, but mostly be-moaning my bad luck. The dogs are concerned and won't leave my side. In my very near future is a trip to an orthopedic surgeon to see what damage might have been done. You would love the many colors of my knee, blues, blacks, purples, very Tim Burton-ish!

My quest now is to do some research to find some protection spells for myself...protection from myself!!

One nice thing that happened, though is I met a very nice nurse who turned out to be Wiccan. I gave her my phone number and hope she will call. We had a nice chat while she was wrapping my knee and later as she pushed me in a wheel chair to the car. Interesting how things happen.

So that's the update for now. Thanks for all your well-wishes, you are the best!!

I hope no serious damage was done. What an unfortunate accident! Keep poppin' those pain pills.

I understand knee pain only too well myself. Thanks to a bad car accident many years ago, I have next to no cartiledge left in my left knee and pain pills only do so much (besides, I HATE cortizone shot needles with a passion!)

Trust me, the Wiccan nurse was no coincidence. The Goddess brings people into our lives for a reason and I wouldn't be surprised if you actually did hear from her. (although it would have been nice to meet under better circumstances, but who am I to question our deities) ;)

Blessings to you and my thoughts and reiki energy are with you,

Kim

Yep I'd say it was gremlins probably doing some trolls dirty work.
Goodness I hope you take care of yourself. Take the pills....it'll make you stay put, that's always a good thing when you have a knee boo boo.

I really think that you should do a protection spell, and protect yourself from whatever influence is causing these situations without necessarily naming or identifying them. I have to be honest and say that when these things happen I always go into psychic defense mode! I'm so glad that you are ok, although I hope that you heal quickly and are in less pain very soon!!

Bless your heart, Robin. I am so sorry you have to go through this. Be sure to stay off of it and take your pain meds. I hope the Orthopedic doesn't find anything wrong. Sending you healing energy, my sweet friend.

Robin, I have been thinking of you! I hope you get better soon and I hope you didn't do too much damage to yourself! Your lovable puppies, not leaving your side ;o) Isn't that interesting, that you met a nurse, who was Wiccan. Everything happens for a reason. Maybe you are suppose to relax more! Burn lots of candles, while you are healing ;o) Big Hugs ;o)

Oh my, how awful, but I sure can empathize. My falls have not been because of non-skid shoes. I have weak ankles and have been known to fall over a leaf. And it seem s the older I get, the longer it takes to heal.

I know you must be in pain, and I am so sorry. Sending healing energies and prayers your way. (((Hugs)))

I hope you feel better soon. I understand knee injury and the like all to well, and as I currently have a broken ankle due to my lack of grace, I feel you on that too lol..

Seems like those pesky Gremlins have their sites set on you! A good protection spell and possibly an amulet for you to carry would be in order.
Do hope no serious damage was done by your mishap! Sending healing energy your way! ♥

Boy! I get a little busy and leave you on your own for just a few days and -- look what you did to yourself! Guess I need to fire up my own healing cauldron and send some stuff your way... For goodness'sake, get better! Come visit when you can.

Ouch! I have to say I'm the same way. Somehow I've managed to chip both feet now. Seems like once a year I'm breaking something. My nickname from childhood was clutz!
