Merry Meet and Merry Part, and Merry Meet again

Eh?

Happy Thanksgiving to relatives and friends in the North, Canada! I know a lot of families celebrated over the weekend. The aroma of roasting turkeys, hams and pumpkin pies was actually observed in upstate New York; something about the jet stream, perhaps? (snort) Anyway, hope everyone "up there" had a super holiday.

Speaking of "up there", my friend Stacy sent her giveaway prize to me from her Canadian neck of the woods. It flew down in a timely manner and landed in my mailbox. I am very enamored of this work of art and truly will treasure it. Stacy at Magic Love Crow blog is a very generous person and creates wonderful pieces of art. She has a love affair with crows and her art features these mysterious and marvelous black birds.

This is the painting, "My Hat", by Stacy. I love the colors, of course very Autumn-like. The Witch's hat is perfect, and the Crow in this picture is a little spooky. Click on the photo for a closer look.   Thanks a bunch, Miss Stacy-Crow Lady!!!

Gwennie update: our little Sheltie is recovering very well from her surgery last week. We are hoping for a nice long spell of good health for both our girls.

Are you busy this week? Can you believe that Samhain is barreling down on us, hurray! Try to enjoy every single day though. Don't rush around. Take time to savor the fall colors, the smell of the air and prepare for this last beautiful Turning of the Wheel for this year..

I never thought about the wind bringing a celebration with it, but why not? I know that Cinco de Mayo swam upstream on the Rio Grande so anything is possible.
So glad you updated us about precious Gwennie. Glad she's recovering well.
And as to Stacy and her wonderous art....you are a lucky ducky to have another of her precious creations.
You are so right about rushing about and not really savoring the season. It is good to pause and enjoy. I wish you a pleasant magic filled day BB, Oma Linda

Robin, I just about choked on my coffee, the comment about the aromas wafting along on the jet stream! A good ha ha for a rainy Monday morning! That piece of crow art is just amazing, love it! Glad to hear Gwennie is healing well and I echo your hopes for good health. Roll on Samhain!

Congrats Robin!!!

Love the painting as I dearly love the Crows and Ravens. :)
It's chilly here in Wisconsin but I am enjoying all of the colors, and autumnal aromas. Now I'm looking forward to Samhain and then on to Thanksgiving! Yaaaay!

Awesome painting! Love the colors & the subject. Trying to heed your advice; it's a busy time of year but every time I open the front door I'm struck by how quickly it's passing, and I want to savor it, slow it down, linger with it awhile.

Many thanks for the holiday greeting. My family celebrated yesterday and I'll confess to having had pumpkin pie for breakfast.
And let's give thanks for Gwennie's good recovery.
